Monday afternoon Brush 2 & 1, Tanker 2, and Amelia Co. 4 responded to a report of hay rolls on fire in the 800 block of Clayville Rd.  Brush 2 arrived to find several hay rolls on fire in a field near a barn.  Firefighters had the farmer use his tractor to move the hay rolls away from the barn to the field to allow them to burn out.  Firefighters assisted with keeping the fire under control until it burned down.  Two hose lines were stretched to keep the tractor cool and to assist with keeping the fire under control.  A drip torch was used to burn a fire line around the burning hay to keep it from spreading.  Firefighters operated on scene for about two hours before taking up.
